DONOVAN JAMES A. On Tuesday, January 31, 2017, James A. Donovan, age 90, of Avalon, husband of the late Pearl (Sanko) Donovan; beloved father of Thomas J. (Priscilla) Donovan of Wisconsin, and the late Mary Beth (surviving spouse, Mark) McCauley and Sharon A. Donovan; grandfather of Kendall and Connor McCauley; brother of the late Elizabeth "Sis" McGregor, Dolores Stemmler, Mary "Mickey" Vish, William, Ross, Raymond and Larry Donovan; brother-in-law of Ann Nykiel of OH, Cecelia Menarchek of Latrobe, Helen Czajka of Michigan and the late John Czajka, Peter Czajka, Frank Sanko, Lt. Joseph Sanko, Rose Sanko, Mary Sanko, Stella Palaisa. James was a veteran of the U.S. Merchant Marines and Army, he was employed by J & L Steel and the Duquesne Incline and was a longtime member of the Church of the Assumption. Friends received Monday, 2- 8 p.m., at the LAWRENCE T. MILLER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 460 Lincoln Avenue, Bellevue. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. on Tuesday, February 7, 2017, at the Church of the Assumption, Bellevue.
