Before his death, he was one of the longest year round residents on the lake. Jack was born on July 22, 1956, in Grand Rapids, Michigan to Jacob and Marry (Kleynenberg) Van Putten. He graduated from Lowell High School in 1974. As a child, he loved to disassemble, tinker, and figure out how things worked. In life, Jack was a master of all trades but electricity was his passion. Jack worked for over 20 years as a Corporate Plant Engineer for Lescoa in Grand Rapids, MI. After that, Jack went into business for himself until his death. He enjoyed spending time as a family, vacationing at Cedar Point was his favorite trip.
