Jack Duane Petersen was born in Council Bluffs, Iowa on March 11, 1930, to Clara and Otto Petersen. Jack served two years in the Army beginning at the age of 16. Jack came to Alaska in 1953, where he enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing. He is preceded in death by his three sons, Roy, Duane and Mike. He is survived by his beloved wife of 69 years, Betty; daughter, Susie Olson; 11 grandchildren; 28 great-grand-children; and four great-great-grandchildren. Jack succumbed to congestive heart failure at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, Alaska. You are lovingly invited to attend a Memorial Service at Baxter Road Bible Church, 3600 Baxter Road in Anchorage, AK, on Saturday, Sept. 15, 2018 at 5 p.m.
