JACK MARSHALL
Nov. 7, 1940 - Jan. 30, 2019 OKLAHOMA CITY Jack W. Marshall, born Nov. 7, 1940, in Shawnee, OK to Geneva and Charles Marshall, died Jan. 30, 2019, after a courageous battle with ALS. He graduated from Shawnee High School, attended OSU, and served in the 45th Division Army Reserve. Jack retired from Seagate after 37 years, and then worked for the Oklahoma Blood Institute. He was a member of New Hope Methodist. Jack was a loyal, generous, and true-hearted father and friend. Although a man of few words, he left important life lessons for those who knew him. Never one to complain, his determination and positive attitude enabled him to enjoy each day's simple pleasures as he fought his disease. Survivors are his wife of 51 years, LaDonna; daughter, Melissa Savoy and her husband Ben; son, Zack; as well as many dear family members and friends who prayed tirelessly for him. He was predeceased by his parents and sister, Sandra Frost. Visitation will be Sunday, 3-9 p.m. with family present 3-5 p.m. at Mercer-Adams. Services at the New Hope United Methodist Church, 11600 N. Council Rd., OKC, at 10 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 4. Burial will follow in Shawnee at Resthaven Memorial Park at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The ALS Association or Integris Hospice House.
