Howard C. Collins
Howard C. Collins, 84, of Bangor, PA, passed away Friday, July 10th, at his residence. Howard was born in Queens, NY on September 3, 1930, the son of the late Howard C. and Ella (Murphy) Collins. He was employed as a studio recording musician, until retiring. Howard played at Carnegie Hall, on Broadway, and with many other famous musicians. He received his Bachelors Degree from Hofstra University, and attended the former Manhattan School of Music. He served in the U.S. Marines during the Korean War. He was a member of East Bangor United Methodist Church of East Bangor, PA. He was also a member of the Musicians Union in Manhattan. Howard is survived by a daughter, Leslie McLoughlin, of Smithtown, NY. He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Collins. Memorial services will be announced at a later date. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to the James B. Gaffney Funeral Home, Bangor, PA.
