Mrs. Helen Cline Troutman, 100, formerly of China Grove, went home to her Heavenly Father Wednesday, February 12, 2020, at Hospice House of Alamance in Burlington A celebration of life is scheduled for 3:00 pm Sunday, February 16, 2020, at Carolina Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel, Kannapolis. Rev. Joel G. Locklear, Jr. will officiate. The family will receive friends from to 2:15 to 3:00 pm Sunday at Carolina Memorial Park Mausoleum prior to the service. Mrs. Troutman was born on October 13, 1919 in Cabarrus County. She was a daughter of the late Carl C. Cline and Artie Ruth Cline. Helen loved her church, her garden and her flowers. Her life was centered around all of the many gifts that God had given her. She was a devoted member of Mount Mitchell Methodist Church, where she taught youth Sunday School and was a member of the women's circle. She and her family were custodians at the church for many years. She was employed by Cannon Mills prior to raising her two sons, and resumed working there until retirement after her children were grown. She loved her extended family, Donna Goodman, and all her neighbors, especially Dwight Rogers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Clarence Troutman on September 14, 2012; brother, Elgin Cline; and son, Larry Troutman. Mrs. Troutman is survived by son, Dr. Steven Troutman and wife Gayle of Mebane; daughter-in-law, Brenda Troutman of Concord; two grandsons, Dr. Jason Troutman and wife Jamie and Josh Troutman and wife Daisy; two granddaughters, Jordan Troutman and Banning Troutman; six great grandchildren, Caden, Casey, Zaylee, Colton, Kiley and Olivia; and granddog, Zoey. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Hospice & Palliative Care of Alamane-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215 or to Mt. Michell United Methodist Church, 6001 Old Salisbury-Concord Road, Kannapolis, NC 28083. Remembrances may be sent to the family online at www.ladysfuneralhome.com .
