Gordon Thomas "Skip" Jones Jr.
Gordon Thomas "Skip" Jones, Jr., age 58, of Findlay and formerly of Harrisburg, PA passed away at 11:15 p.m. Thursday, September 13, 2018 at the Bridge Hospice Care Center. He was born at the Hill Air Force Base in Davis County, Utah on May 14, 1960. He married Cynthia Witt and she survives. He is also survived by his father, Gordon T. Jones, Sr.; his mother, Jacquline (Tate) Russell; two daughters, Michelle (Lamarr) Wilkerson and Taylor Petersen; step-son, LaFerrel Bunting and three siblings, Kimberly Butler; James (LaTrisa) Russell; Danielle Woelke; Gregory T. Jones and Gabron T. Jones, along with two grandchildren: Essence Green, Justice Wilkerson and many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was a 1978 graduate of Findlay High School and served from 1978-1981 in the US Army. He worked for Alternative Rehabilitation Community in Harrisburg and then for FedEx. Skip was also an avid OSU Buckeye fan. He also worked with the Flag City Boxing Club (1991-1997) coaching several (professional and amateur)golden glove champions. Skip was a former member of the Greater Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Harrisburg, PA; attended Mason Chapel in Findlay and was an excellent life coach to his daughters. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, FINDLAY, OH. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery where the Hancock County Veterans Memorial Squad will present full military rites. Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Monday and from 9:00-11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Online condolences can be shared by visiting coldrencrates.com .
