Dr. Gary Williams
Dr. Gary 'Chip' Williams, DMD PEN ARGYL Dr. Gary "Chip" Williams, DMD, 64, of Pen Argyl, PA, passed away Thursday, Jan. 10, 2019, at his home, with his loving family by his side. Gary was born in Easton, PA, on July 15, 1954, a son of Diane (Lobb) Williams, of The Villages, FL, and the late Garfield "Gary" Williams, Jr. He was the loving husband of Nancy L. (Hallam) Williams. They would have celebrated their 44th wedding anniversary on Jan. 31. Gary was a 1972 graduate of Pen Argyl High School and received his bachelor's degree from East Stroudsburg University. He then continued his education and received his physician assistant degree from Northeastern University and his doctoral degree in dentistry from Tufts University. Gary was the dentist and owner of Family Dental Care in Pen Argyl for 30 years. He co-instructed study clubs and was an ambassador for the Dawson Dental Academy. While he enjoyed biking, skiing, and bow hunting, singing was his passion. Gary was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Pen Argyl, where he served as a lay leader, sang in three choirs, the HIMS of Praise, coordinated mission trips, and conducted Bible Studies. He was a true servant of the Lord. In addition to his wife, Nancy, and mother, Diane, Gary is survived by a daughter, Tawney Alvin, wife of Jared; two sons, Jason Williams, husband of Jennifer; Ryan Williams, and his companion Ashley Marie. Gary is also survived by two sisters, Cathy DeEsch, wife of Denny, and Wendy Echard. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Kiah, Zariah, Ian, Caiden, and Jackson. A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 19 at Grace United Methodist Church, 404 E. Mountain Ave., Pen Argyl, PA with Rev. Tim Fisher officiating. Family and friends are invited to call from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday at the church. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to the James B.
