Garrett Whitman His legacy lives in his sons and grandchildren Garrett Whitman, 86, of Morristown, N.J., passed away at Morristown Medical Center surrounded by his family. A funeral service will be held at Bernheim- Apter Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, Livingston, N.J., on Monday, Aug. 19, 2019, at 10 a.m. Mr. Whitman was born in New York City, and lived in Merrick and Great Neck, Long Island, and Livingston, N.J., before moving to Morristown. Garrett's most important job was in raising his three sons along with his late wife, Sybil. He enjoyed spending time with his family, Garrett enjoyed playing golf, along with being a huge sports fanatic, especially watching the Yankees. Garrett was predeceased by his wife, Sybil, and his brother, Wayne. He is survived by his twin brother, Sheldon, and his wife, Jan, and his sister-in-law, Fran; his three sons, Scott, Brad and his wife, Beth, Glenn and his wife, Debra, and his seven grandchildren, Max, Carly, Lauren, Alex, Cate, Grace, and Owen, who will carry on his spirit.
