ROBERT SISTEK Robert J. Sistek passed away April 3, 2019, in Las Vegas. Bob was born in Washington, D.C. to William L. Sistek Jr. and Imogene Garges Sistek. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1962 to 1966 with duty at the American Embassy in Saigon as a Marine Security Guard for Ambassador Henry Cabot Lodge. Bob had a long and respected career as a banker in Las Vegas, retiring in 2001. He enjoyed traveling, keeping up with family and friends on Facebook and rooting for his beloved Redskins. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Linda Kelley. He is survived by his wife, of 48 years, Jean Thayer Sistek; stepmother, Shirley Hann Sistek; two sons, Stephen (Catrine) and Thomas (Theresa); three grandchildren, Sierra, Jake, and Olivia; five brothers, William, Charles, Louis, David, and John; two sisters, Linda and Dee; and many nephews and nieces. Services will be at 5 p.m. Sat., April 13, at Palm Eastern, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Las Vegas, NV 89123. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to Nathan Adelson Hospice, 3150 N. Tenaya Way, Suite 350, Las Vegas, NV 89128.
