Robert "Bob" Pearce
Robert "Bob" Pearce passed away on Sept. 6, 2018, at Providence Hospital, at the age of 83. Bob was born in Tulare, Calif., and brought his family to Anchorage, Alaska, in September 1977. He worked for Alaska Refrigeration and then Hussmann Refrigeration until his retirement in 1999. He enjoyed doing woodworking, going to Anchorage Bucs baseball games, and attending the Iditarod Race; he even had the great opportunity to be at the finish line in Nome one year. He had a vast collection of M&M dispensers and family enjoyed the tradition of buying him a new collectable on holidays. After needing to attend rehab, he joined the YMCA Silver Sneakers and made great friends. Bob has now joined his wife of 42 years, Shirley, who passed in 2001. Bob is survived by his sister, Pricilla Matthews of Minnesota; daughters, Tammy Tuck of California and Toby Robinson of Alaska; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. There will be a celebration of life at 1838 Kalgin Street in Anchorage on Sept. 15, 2018, from 1 p.m. - 5 p.m. Arrangements entrusted to Legacy Witzleben Funeral Home.
