PORTSMOUTH - Robert A. McDaniel "Bobby Mac", 61, of Portsmouth, died peacefully Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at the Hyder Hospice House surrounded by his family. Born in Charleston, South Carolina on December 30, 1956, he was the son of the late Joanne and Harold Beasley and Charles McDaniel. Bobby is survived by his daughters Casey and Caytlin McDaniel; brother Charles McDaniel; sisters Denece Dolmat and Shannon Glover; nephews Charles McDaniel and Jacob Glover; nieces Jessica Dolmat and Kristen Flynn; and his grandson Maddox Rian Kent. Bobby Mac was giving, loving, and always made the ladies smile. He was a pool shark, harmonica player, leather maker, painter, and most importantly, a devoted friend. He was also a proud member of the American Legion Post 6. He will be missed by everyone and remembered every day. SERVICES: A celebration of Bobby's life will be held at 1 p.m., Sunday, September 23, at Daniel Street Tavern.
