Nancy Opal Jackson, 82, died October 23rd, 2019 at her home in Plantation, FL. She was born November 1st, 1936 to Arthur L. Ickes & Mary (Freeland) Ickes in Duncannon, PA. Nancy graduated from Susquenita High School, Millersville University and the University of South Florida. She retired as a Media Specialist from the Broward County School Board in South Florida. She was a member of New Horizon United Methodist Church, Delta Kappa Gamma, Broward County Media Specialists, The Perry County Historians and the Daughters of the American Revolution. Nancy is preceded in death by her husband, James Jackson Sr. Surviving are her two daughters, Mrs. Janine (Steve) Wert and Mrs. Jill (Michael) Kuchinos; her son, James (Allison) Jackson Jr.; ten grand-children, two step-children, and one great-grandson. Graveside services will be held on Monday, November 18th, 2019 at 11 A.M. at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA. Arrangements by the Ronald C.L. Smith Funeral Home, Duncannon. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: American Cancer Society, PO Box 897, 112 Sipe Ave, Hummelstown, PA 17036.
