In memory of
Merwin Marshburn, 86, of Jacksonville died September 8, 2018, at his home. Merwin loved fishing and singing, and was a member of the Masonic Lodge #564 A.F. & A.M.; First Baptist Church and the Choir of Richlands; Nobel Order of the Shrine, Scottish Rite Temple; New River Harmony; The Barbershop Quartet; the Faithful Five singing group, and served his country in the United States Army. He is preceded in death by his parents, Emmitt Christopher and Eva Pittman Marshburn; and brother, Emmitt Marshburn. He is survived by his wife, Ann Findeisen Marshburn of the home; and one sister, Velma Valley of Jacksonville. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 12, 2018, at First Baptist Church, Richlands with Dr. Scott Conner officiating. Burial will follow at the Marshburn Family Cemetery, Cow Horn Rd. with Masonic Rites and Military honors. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, September 11, 2018, at First Baptist Church, Richlands. Arrangements by Johnson Funeral Home, Jacksonville.
