Matthew Adam McCarthy May 2nd 1984 - December 30th 2019 - Survived by; Zachary Adam McCarthy ( son), Ashlyn Mae McCarthy (daughter) , Melissa Mitchell (sister) Pamela McCarthy (mother), Timothy McCarthy (father)(Tracy), Ruth Eachus (grandmother) Douglas Irvine (Uncle), Cheryl Brotherton (Aunt) and many more aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Matt was a family man first and formost. His children meant everything to him. He loved teaching them everything he could, from working on cars to reading a book. He was so proud of both of them and spent every moment he could with them. His sister and mom were his best friends. He loved camping, fishing and the ocean with them all and his dog "Diesel ". He came to life when out in nature with his family and friends. He stood proud and strong for his country and 2nd Amendment rights. He loved trying out new restaurants in town; he was a foodie. He loved to cook and was very good at it. He was always there for anyone that needed help. Thus loving his job as a Tow Operator his entire adult life. Matt will be missed by so many. Rest in peace, until we meet again. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, January 19th at 1:00 pm at Walton's 2nd Street Event Center, 600 W. 2nd St., Reno.
