Maryann McCoy, 73, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 31 at Alexandria Manor Senior Living Center in Bath, PA. Maryann was born in Jersey City, NJ and lived there most of her life before moving to Scranton, Pennsylvania. Maryann worked primarily in financial services, beginning her career at Chase Manhattan Bank and ending it at Bank of America. Maryann enjoyed reading, needlework, movies, playing cards, and spending time with her family. Maryann also traveled extensively, going to Russia, Scandinavia and Israel as well as other stays in Europe and the United States. Maryann was the devoted daughter of the late Eugenie (nee Schroeder) and late John B. McCoy, cherished sister of the late John F., the late James F., and Kathryn E. McCoy, beloved sister-in-law of Mary R. McCoy and devoted aunt of Kerri D. McCoy and Hannah O. (nee McCoy) Sanders. Maryann was also loved by her many cousins. Cremation will be private. A memorial to celebrate her life will be announced later this month. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration ( www.theaftd.org ) or the Alzheimer's Association ( www.alz.org ).
