Lola Rosalie (Bishop) Dahl
Lola Rosalie Dahl died on Nov. 22, 2019, after a short illness in Fort Bragg. She was born on July 7, 1944, in Petaluma, to Herbert and Rose Bishop. She graduated from Point Arena High School in 1962. She married Laverne Dahl in 1964 and they moved to Fort Bragg and raised their three children. Lola enjoyed her grandchildren, gardening and camping. Lola is survived by her husband of 55 years, Laverne; children, Rose Matson (Mike Whitney), Carla Slaven (Dwayne) of Fort Bragg, Bruce Dahl (Diana) of Lakeport; grandchildren, Erica and Michelle Matson, Addison and Ethan Slaven of Fort Bragg, Ashley Dahl of Lakeport; great-grandchildren, Evan Martinez and Brycen Clawson of Fort Bragg; sisters, Tharon Thompson and Gayle Cardwell of Woodland; plus numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at the Mendocino Coast District Hospital for their care. Donations in Lola's memory can be made to the American Cancer Society or Mendocino Coast District Hospital Hospice. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
