In memory of
Linda Denny
Denny, Linda Linda Merriam Denny, age 64, passed away unexpectedly at her home on September 5, 2019, in Walker, Michigan. Born in Virginia, she was the daughter of James and Martha Davis. Later, the family relocated to Texas where her father was stationed in the military, and thereafter the family relocated to her father's hometown of Central Lake, Michigan. At the age of 12, Linda and her family resided in Traverse City, Michigan, where she graduated from high school. She attended college at Western Michigan University, and earned her teaching degree. She was then employed for over 20 years as a middle school Science and Mathematics teacher for Central Lake Public Schools. After her retirement, Linda relocated to Grand Rapids, where she has since resided. Linda was an active member and devoted volunteer of The Other Way Ministries in downtown Grand Rapids, where she served and volunteered at The Other Way Food Pantry and served an active role in outreach programs. She also went on mission trips, three over a period of years, to Mexico, Russia, and S. Africa. Linda loved to travel and share her faith at home and abroad. Linda is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, James and Kathleen Davis, sister and brother-in-law, MarLou Davis and Tony Bialecki, and sister and brother-in-law, Lisa and Robert Mueller, as well as one nephew, Justin (Jennifer) Bialecki, and three nieces, Carolyn (Geoffrey) DeWitt, Jessica Bialecki, and Aubrey (Brendan) McSorley. In addition, she was the loving great aunt to three great nephews, Bode, Ian, and Declan, and two great nieces, Samantha and Eira. Just a few words to describe Linda are loving, giving, generous, dedicated, and faithful. She will be dearly missed by her family as well as many, many friends and neighbors. Every person in the community, country, and the world who knew Linda will miss her presence, with her unmistakable ability to show love and respect towards everyone and make everyone feel uniquely special in her eyes. The memorial service to celebrate Linda's life will be held on Monday, September 9, 2019, at 2 p.m. at The Other Way Ministries, located at 706 Fulton St. W., Grand Rapids, Michigan. Memorial donations, in lieu of flowers, may be made to The Other Way Ministries. http://theotherway.org/
