John Henry Stallard
John H. Stallard, devoted husband, father and grandfather, entered into God's loving care on August 26, 2019 in Orange, California at the age of 96. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 61 years, Hazel and is survived by his three daughters Carolyn Tabb, Cynthia Henry and Christine Ullerich. Additionally, John is survived by six grandchildren: Aaron Henry, Adrienne Henry, Andrew Henry, John Ullerich, Elijah Ullerich and Ian Ullerich. John was born on June 12, 1923, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to his mother, Marion Suffire Carson, and father, John Henry Stallard. John attended Williamson Trade Institution in Pennsylvania where he graduated as a Power Plant Operator before enlisting into the Navy in 1943. During his time in the service, John was part of Project Ultra where he repaired electrical components on the military's secret cryptographic machines. While still in the Navy Reserve, John moved to St. Paul, Minnesota where he met and then married Hazel Irene Brown on September 5, 1947. In 1959, using the skills developed during his time in the military, John accepted a position at Collins Radio (which later merged with Rockwell International) in Newport Beach, California where he worked until retirement in 1985. Memorial services were held at Tustin Presbyterian Church on September 10, 2019, followed by interment at Riverside National Cemetery.
