John F. Fisher
John F. Fisher Cranbury, NJ - John F. Fisher passed away peacefully at his home in Cranbury, NJ at age 94, with his wife of 61 years, Maureen, by his side. John was born on February 17, 1925 in New York City and grew up in the Bronx during the Great Depression. He was a member of the Greatest Generation and served honorably for the United States Navy during World War II, aboard the USS O'Reilly which provided destroyer escort protection against submarine and air attack for Navy vessels in the Atlantic and Pacific Ocean. Upon his return from military service in 1946, John joined Nettle Creek Industries, where he was a senior executive for most of his professional career. He married Maureen Carey in 1958 and moved to New Rochelle, NY where they raised two daughters. John had a passion for life, touched many family and friends and will be sadly missed. He was an avid tennis & golf player and a devoted Boston Red Sox fan. John will be lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, Maureen, his daughter Katie (David) of Bronxville, NY, his two grandchildren, Megan and David Cyganowski, and his daughter, Margaret. A private Memorial Celebration of Life Gathering will be held by John's family.
