Jeanette (Pesta) Wilk, 94, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at the Mt. Marie Healthcare Center in Holyoke. She was born in Brooklyn, NY on November 24, 1924, a daughter of the late Jennie Pesta and Joseph Podhajski. She was raised and educated there and has lived in Chicopee since 1963. During her career, Jeanette was a Machinist at F. W. Sickles Corp. in Chicopee. She later worked at St. Stanislaus School in Chicopee, the 7-11 store at Glenwood Circle, retiring from Liberty Bakeries in 1986. She was a communicant of St. Anthony of Padua Church in Chicopee and a member of its Rosary Society. Her husband of 56 years, Frank Wilk, passed away on August 1, 2005. She was also predeceased by a son-in-law, Richard Walsh, 5 of her siblings, John, Alexander and Anthony Podhajski, Josephine Grabowski and Stella Andruszkow. Jeanette leaves behind a son, Michael J. Wilk and his wife Renee of South Hadley, 3 daughters, Carol LaFountain and her husband David of Huntington, Irene Walsh of Agawam and Linda Boryczka and her husband John of Chicopee; 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; a sister, Irene Ranzie and a sister-in-law, Kay Podhajski; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends in the Corridan Funeral Home, 333 Springfield St., Chicopee on Friday, August 16, 2019 from 9:00 until 10:45 a.m. with the Funeral Mass to follow at 11:15 in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 56 St. Anthony St., Chicopee. The burial will take place in the MA Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main St., Agawam at 1:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Mt.
