POLLACI James B., Jr. M.D., 84 of Ridgewood, NJ passed away Monday, December 19, 2011. He was born in New York City, served in the Coast Guard during WWII and was a graduate of Manhattan College and the University of Rome in Italy where he received his Medical Degree. He was an anesthesiologist at New York Eye & Ear Infirmary in Ridgewood and an Attending Physician and Assistant Professor at Bellevue and NYU Medical Center in New York City. He was a member of the Hobbyist Club and a longtime member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Ridgewood, NJ. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy, daughters, Laura-Lynne wife of David Rubino of Bethesda MD and Lisa wife of Miguel Vilar of Media PA, son, James B. Pollaci, III of Jersey City NJ, and seven Grandchildren. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:45 AM on Thursday, December 22, 2011 in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Ridgewood NJ. Contributions are suggested to National Parkinson Foundation or National Niemann-Pick Disease Foundation.
