In memory of
Hallmeyer, Gary Gary Hallmeyer, a 48 year resident of the city of Fullerton, passed away on July 1, 2019 of congestive heart failure, at Fountain Valley Regional Hospital at the age of 70. Gary was born in Seattle, Washington and moved to La Habra, California at the age of 4. After moving to Anaheim, he attended Magnolia High School and graduated in 1967. Gary met his wife of 42 years, Patty, while they both worked at Audio Magnetics in Irvine. They moved to Fullerton immediately after marrying and raised their children there. Gary enjoyed a long career with the Edison Company and worked there until his retirement in 2010. He was very involved in the Golden West Game Breeders Bird Club, was an avid fisherman, and was well known for the being Mr. Fix-it. He enjoyed working on old cars and never failed to helped family and friends with car repair and home projects. Gary is survived by Patty, his widow of 42 years; his daughter, Margaret, age 39, of Orange; and son Michael, age 35, and wife Tracy of Peoria, Arizona. He also leaves two brothers, Freddie, (Marlene) of Huntington Beach and Peter (Anita) of Midland, Texas. Gary was the son of the late Jerry Hallmeyer and his mother, Arlys Hallmeyer of Stanton. His sister, Annette passed away approximately 6 weeks after Gary. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 24th at 10:00 AM at St. Philip Benizi Catholic Church in Fullerton. Interment will be private at Good Shepherd Cemetery in Huntington Beach.
