Edward Harold Laska
LASKA, Edward Harold Laska, Edward H. of Dallas, Texas, passed away on January 5, 2020. He was born in Nicholville, New York in upstate New York and raised in Brooklyn, New York by Frank and Ruth Laska. He joined the United States Marines at 17 with permission from his parents. He served in WW II stationed in the Pacific. After the war, he moved to Dallas, Texas to attend Southern Methodist University and later graduated from SMU in 1951 with a degree in sociology. He worked for Zurich American Insurance Company and Trinity Insurance Company. He was preceded in death by his wife Alice, his sister Gloria, and his nephew Johnny Warde. He is survived by his sons David Laska(Dallas) and Michael Laska(Los Angeles), their mother Barbara Laska(Dallas), his niece Merilee Warde(Cool, California), and his nephew Edward Warde(Chico, California). He married his wife, Alice, in 1983 at Saint Michael and All Angels Church, Highland Park. They were members of Saint Michael and All Angels Church for over 35 years. A memorial will take place on Tuesday, January 14, 2:00pm, at Saint Michael's chapel.
