Edward Clayton Lamon
Edward Clayton Lamon, age 90, of Helena, AL passed away on October 9, 2019. The service will be held at Rocko Funeral Home in Montevallo, AL on January 13 at 10:30 am. Burial will follow at the National Cemetery in Montevallo, AL. Edward was born in Jasper, AL, to Wesley E. and Velma Lamon on March 6, 1929. He was married to Lois Ann Henson on June 9, 1956. Edward served in both the Marines then the Air Force during the Korean War. Edward is survived by his son Douglas E. Lamon and his wife Polly, his sister Brenda Davis and brother Jim Lamon (Deb), his grandchildren Caitlin Cornelison (Brian), Susannah Lamon (Jim Witherow), and Madeline Thomas (Zach), his great-granddaughter Piper June Cornelison and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceeded in death by his step-mother Claudine Lamon and brother Toby Lamon. In lieu of flowers the family asks a donation be made to the Big Oak Ranch ( bigoak.org ). The family wishes to thank everyone at ComfortCare Hospice for the wonderful care received during Edward's illness.
