In memory of
David Paul Focht, 76, of Douglassville, passed away at his home surrounded by family on Sunday, September 9, 2018. He was the loving husband of Judith A. (Miller) Focht. Born in Reading on September 5, 1942, a son of the late Paul and Mae (Christman) Focht. David was the owner and operator for 27 years of Focht's Mower Shop in Douglassville until he retired. Prior, he was employed with Firestone for 15 years and in his youth, he worked on the family farm in Douglassville. David was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Douglassville. In addition to his wife, Judith, David is survived by four sons: Michael Focht, of Douglassville; Robert Focht and his wife, Joanne, of Pottstown; Michael Bescript and his wife, Rhonda, of Royersford; and Stephen Bescript and his wife, Annette, of Reading; two grandchildren, Cody and Evan Bescript; and a sister, Joan (Focht) Riegner, of Douglassville. David was predeceased by a sister, Marilyn (Focht) Thompson. A Memorial Service for David will be Friday, September 14, 2018, at 11 a.m. in St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 548 Old Swede Rd., Douglassville, PA 19518. A visitation will be in the church Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services. Inurnment is private. Auman's Inc. Funeral Home, Reiffton, is entrusted with the arrangements.
