Charles Philip Miller 1936 - 2018 WHITESBORO - Charles Philip Miller, 82, of Whitesboro, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center. He was born on August 23, 1936 in Leonardsville, NY, a son of the late Charles and Thelma (Eddy) Miller. He was a graduate of Whitesboro High School in 1955. He served his country with honor in the United States Air Force from 1955 to 1959. On June 30, 1962, at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Whitesboro, he was united in marriage to Patricia Carr; a blessed union of over 52 years. Mrs. Miller passed away on November 24, 2014. Charles was employed as a manager at Loblaw's Supermarket for many years and later with Fisher Auto Parts, retiring in 2006. In his free time, he enjoyed wood carving and photography; he was a member of the Utica Camera Club. He also enjoyed painting watercolors and was involved with the Rome Art Community and the Kirkland Gallery. He also enjoyed music, especially Blue Grass, Classical and Jazz Music. He played and made several musical instruments. He is survived by his children, Charles Michael Miller, Philip Joseph Miller and Kathleen Marie Miller Penree and her husband, Scott. He also leaves a granddaughter, Stephanie Penree. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 8:30 AM from the Dimbleby Funeral Homes, Inc., 40 Main St., Whitesboro and at 9:30 AM at St. Paul's Catholic Church, Whitesboro, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment with Military Honors will be in Leonardsville Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
