Carolyn Adams Vandalia - ADAMS, Carolyn A. "Ann" age 70 of Vandalia, passed away Friday, November 29, 2019, at the Hospice of Dayton. She was born December 18, 1948 in Athens, TN to the late Hardin and Helen Duckworth. Ann graduated from Oak Ridge High School, in Oak Ridge, TN in 1966, and was a graduate of Lipscomb University, receiving her Master's Degree from Wright State University. Ann taught and retired from Tipp City Schools after 32 years of service. She was a Mary Kay consultant and modeled at local events, for several years with the Sisson Modeling Agency. For many years Ann and Ray were members at the Christian Life Center. Ann was an avid traveler and loved to go to Sanibel Island. Her smile was loving and infectious to everybody she met. She will be dearly missed by, family, friends and colleagues. She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years Ray, her sister and "best traveling buddies" Sue (Randy) Humble of Knoxville, TN, mother-in-law Gladys Klotz of Tipp City, Aunt Edith Duckworth of Oak Ridge, TN, Aunt and Uncle Betty and Charles Alley, and Uncle Walter Alley of Hixson, TN and several cousins and friends, and her pet cat "Terra". Services and a Tribute of Ann's Life will be held 12 noon Monday, Dec. 2nd, 2019 at Baker-Hazel & Snider Funeral Home 5555 Philadelphia Dr. at N. Main St. by Pastor Libby Martin. The family will receive friends Monday from 10 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home. Interment Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the PAWS Adoption Center.org , Urbana, SICSA or the Ohio Hospice of Dayton in Ann's memory.
