Anthony A. Martelloni TRENTON Anthony A. "Bottles" Martelloni, 94, of Trenton, NJ, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 11, 2010, at Haven Hospice at JFK Medical Center, Edison, NJ. Born in Trenton, NJ, he resided in the Chambersburg section of Trenton all of his life. A U.S. Army Veteran of World War II, Anthony was the recipient of the Silver Star and Purple Heart. Mr. Martelloni retired in 1981 as a foreman with Heavy & General Laborers Union Local 472 and 172, working for various contractors throughout NJ. After retirement, Tony dedicated himself to helping others and mentored many young people, instilling them with his wisdom and insight. Predeceased by his parents, Emilio and Wanda Branzelli Martelloni, and his sister, Lena Reid, he is survived by his former wife, Gloria Martelloni; his sons and daughters-in-law, Anthony N. and Regina Martelloni, and Paul J. and Tina Martelloni; his sister, Rose Amodio; grandchildren, Trent, Trey, Maci, Mason, Meadow, and Melody Martelloni; three nieces; six nephews, and many great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and friends. The funeral will be held on Thursday, Jan. 16, 2020, at 9 a.m., from the Brenna Funeral Home, Immordino Chapel, 1799 Klockner Road, Hamilton, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:30 a.m., at Our Lady of the Angels, Saint Joachim Church, 20-50 Butler Street, Trenton. Burial will follow in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, Hamilton. Calling hours for family and friends will be on Wednesday evening, Jan. 15, 2020, from 5 to 7 p.m., at the Brenna Funeral Home, Immordino Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to Veterans Home of Menlo Park, 132 Evergreen Road, Edison, NJ 08837.
