Amy Potter Moncks Corner - Amelia Louise "Amy" Potter, 50, of Moncks Corner, SC, died Sunday evening in a North Charleston hospital. Her funeral will be 11:00 AM Wednesday morning, September 12, 2018, at the graveside in Oak Hill Cemetery, Moncks Corner. Interment will follow. The family will receive friends at DIAL-MURRAY FUNERAL HOME, MONCKS CORNER, from 5:00 until 7:00 PM Tuesday. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Wassamassaw Baptist Church Building Fund, PO Box 926, Moncks Corner, SC 29461. Amy was born August 10, 1968, in Manning, SC, a daughter of Jay B. Potter, Jr., and Pamela Lee Overby Potter. She was a member of the Moncks Corner United Methodist Church and attended Berkeley County schools. Amy loved being around people, especially children, and she was a former daycare worker at Harrison's Daycare. She liked to sing and spend time with her family, especially her grandmother to whom she was very close. Amy was an outstanding citizen of Berkeley County and was a ray of sunshine to anyone who met her. Surviving are, her father and step mother, DeeDee Galloway Potter, of Moncks Corner, and her brother, Jay B. "Burt" Potter, III, of Sumter.
