Alfred Biserta, 88 Army veteran; born in Staten Island Alfred Biserta, 88, of Strohl Valley Rd., Towamensing Twp., Palmerton, Pa., died early Sunday morning, Dec. 15, 2019, at the Summit Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Lehighton. He was the husband of Judy Biserta of Lehighton. Born in Staten Island, N.Y., he was a son of the late Federico and Rosaria (Bille) Biserta. Alfred was employed by various construction companies until retirement. He served his country honorably in the Army, Korea era. Survivors are his wife, Judy; sons, Steven and wife, Denise Biserta; Freddie and wife, Donna Biserta and Joseph and wife, Beth Biserta; two stepsons, Randy and wife, Rhonda Lewis and Jack Pospisil and wife, Christine Williams; five grandchildren, one step-grandchild and two great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister, Anita Vincentour; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sisters, Michelina, Genevieve, Ida and Delia and brothers, Vito and Charlie. Services are at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 18 with a Mass of Christian Burial, Our Lady Star of the Sea, 4511 Amboy Rd., S.I., N.Y. 10312.
