Betty Ann Goddard passed away on Monday, March 5, 2007. Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 7 at Oakwood Cemetery with the Rev. Jimmie Johnson officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 10:30 to noon on Wednesday prior to the graveside service at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey located on Bosque Boulevard. She was born Oct. 22, 1931 in Waco to Winifred and Perry Allen. Betty graduated from Baylor University and taught school in El Paso and Richardson school districts. She was a member of the Lovers Lane Methodist Church, Dallas Junior League, and an active member of the Dallas Sustaining Transfer League. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Raymond B. Goddard, Jr., whom she married in 1951. She is survived by her daughters, Susanne Boon and Betsy Smith and husband, Kerry; grandchildren, Taylor Boon, Tyler Boon, Stephen Boon, Rachael Smith and Garrett Smith; brother, Perry Jack Allen and wife, Carolyn; and nephew, Perry Jack Allen, Jr. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to the charity of your choice or to St. Michael's Hospice.
