Regina Crawford
Crawford, Regina 3/28/1963 - 7/6/2021 Ypsilanti, MI Regina Alise (Lisa) Crawford was born on March 28, 1963 in St. Louis Missouri to the late Thomas Hilliard Crawford Sr. and Irene Edna Crawford being the second youngest of 11 children born to this union. Also, affectionately known as "daddy's girl." Regina and her family relocated from St. Louis Mo. to Ann Arbor, MI in the early 70s. She received her high school diploma from Ann Arbor, Huron High school in 1981. In 1982, she gave birth to her first baby girl, La'Kita Sherece Crawford. Five years later, she gave birth to her second bay girl, Keyonta Nicole Addie. In 2004, she met her life partner, Cleveland Thomas, affectionately known as "husband-boyfriend." They spent 17 years together, creating a loving life, spending time with their children and grandchildren, fishing, fellowshipping and loving on one another. Regina received a certificate in Business Skills from Cleary College in 1987. However, she worked in the manufacturing/production field for a number of years. Regina wanted more and decided to focus on her main goal which was to obtain an Administrative position that would allow her to "sit down" and provide direction to others. With that goal in mind she decided to return to school. Regina attended Washtenaw Community College receiving her Administrative Assistant I-certificate in 2007. This motivated her more and she went on to receive her Associates Degree in Applied Science - Business Office Administration, which she obtained in 2016. Although she worked hard to complete her schooling, Regina was the happiest when she was surrounded by and helping others within the self-help fellowship program. Regina was known to those that loved her as, outspoken, fearless, loving, EXTREMELY sensitive, funny, straightforward, energetic, caring and supportive. Yet, will "pop off" when need be, but all in all a beautiful soul. Regina loved spending time with her two girls and grandchildren, singing, listening to music, practicing ball room hustles, shopping with her sisters, and fishing with her love. Regina made her transition on July 6, 2021. She leaves to cherish in her precious memory, two daughters, La'Kita S. Crawford and Keyonta N. Addie, grandchildren, Keimar Crawford, Kamaria Crawford, Kwanza Neman Jr., Kiana Bullock, Denise Durhal, Da'Mya Durhal, and Jayden Thomas. Life partner, Cleveland Thomas, best friend, Jaque McMilan-Miller, siblings, Sandra Calbert, Rebuen Crawford, JoAnn Brown, Wanda Burse, Angela Crawford (John), Steven Crawford (Tammy), and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, family and friends. Regina was proceeded in death by her parents, Thomas Crawford Sr. and Irene Crawford, brothers, Jerome Crawford, Thomas Crawford Jr., Leon Crawford, and Marlin Crawford. The Memorial service will be at the Stark Funeral Home located at 101 S. Washington St, Ypsilanti, MI 48197. Family visitation begins at 3 pm and for all others from 4-9 pm.
