Augustus R. "A.R." Bray Jr.
After a long battle with Parkinson's disease, A.R. passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family. A.R. was a native of VA and a graduate of Auburn Univ. School of Engineering. After college, he served as an officer in the U.S. Army. He later founded Uni-Tech Engineering, Inc., Uni-Cover, Inc. and Water Technologies, Inc. A.R. was a member of Brookwood Baptist Church and the Alabama Woodworkers Guild. He was predeceased by his parents, Augustus R. Bray, Sr and Ione Wills Bray of Leeds, AL and his brother Daniel Bray of Richmond, TX. He is survived by his wife Patricia (Pat), daughter Kathryn Hill (David), son David Bray (Stephanie), son Richard Bray (Alina) and two grandchildren, Lynley Bray and Walker Hill, also his sister Betty Willoughby of Point Clear, AL and sister-in-law Barbara Bray of Ft. Worth, TX. The family wishes to express their gratitude to Mark Maldia, MD ~ UAB Dept. of Neurology: Victor Sung, MD and Laura Lieb, CRNP,~ Amedisys Hospice Care ~ and especially to A.R.'s kind caregivers from Con Cierge Care: Jeanise Bennett, Wayne Mickel, Derrell Hall, Sherita Cooper and Kimberlee Mercer. There will be a private family observance at a later date.
