Bruce J. Sweitzer PEN ARGYL Bruce J. Sweitzer, 87, of Pen Argyl, PA, formerly of Easton, passed away Wednesday, June 9th, at his residence. Bruce was born in Plainfield, NJ, on September 6, 1933, a son of the late Robert T. and Margaret (Callaway) Schweitzer. He was the husband of Edna Mae (Bernasconi) Cortezzo-Sweitzer. They would have celebrated their 5th wedding anniversary on June 30th. He was a 1952 graduate of Plainfield High School in Plainfield, NJ. Bruce was employed as a Field Service Technician for Beckman Instruments for 34 years before retiring in 1994. Previously he was employed by RCA in NYC. Bruce enjoyed spending his time woodworking, making clocks. He was an American history buff and a great sense of humor that all will remember. Bruce was a wonderful father of five children and was twice blessed with two loving wives. He proudly served in the U.S. Army in the Korean War. He was a member of St. Jane Frances de Chantal Roman Catholic Church in Easton, PA, and St. Francis Frier of Easton, PA. He was a former member of St Rocco's Catholic Church in Martins Creek, PA. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #14082 of St. Rocc's Church, American Legion Brown & Lynch Post 9 in Easton, PA, and Catholic War Veterans of America Post 0454 In addition to his wife, Edna Mae, He is survived by 3 daughters: Kathleen M, wife of Dr. Hugo Morales, Eileen M, wife of Dr. Jon Raso, and AnnMarie, wife of Richard Reutti, 2 Sons Robert T. Sweitzer, husband of Maya Mozias, and Timothy Sweitzer, husband of Caroline, bonus Daughter Lori Epler, wife of Jerry, and bonus Son Mark Cortezzo, husband of Farah; 12 grandchildren; Michael Sweitzer, husband of Courtenay, Matthew Sweitzer, husband of Ariel; Rebecca, Angeline, Jon, and Theresa Raso, Adam and Joseph Sweitzer, Ryan and Sarah Reutti, and David and Gloria Morales, 7 Bonus grandchildren; Benjamin and Miriam Mozias, Jonah, Micah, Nahum, Mara, and Dani Cortezzo, 2 Great-grandchildren; Maxwell and Kai Sweitzer. He was preceded in death by his first wife of 54 years Theresa M. (Carniglia) Sweitzer and a brother Donald Schweitzer. Family and friends are invited to call 3 to 5 PM on Sunday, June 13th at James J.
