Bruce Eugene Ashback Oct. 14, 1951 - June 4, 2021 Bruce Ashback passed away Friday, June 4, 2021. Born to Agnes and Eugene Ashback in Spokane, he spent most of his life in the Portland metro area. After graduating from Grant High School, he served in Vietnam, returning to Oregon in 1971. He owned a construction company with his uncle, was a carpenter, and later, a business agent for the carpenters union. In 1992, he married Carrie. In 2001, they bought a house that Bruce would spend much of his time fixing up. He loved spending time with his wife, daughter and family dog. Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Agnes; younger brother, Dale; and uncle, Gary. He is survived by his wife, Carrie; daughter, Sara; stepson, Jess; and youngest brother, Paul (Debbie). A celebration of life is being planned.
