Johnny Elvin Terrell was born into eternal life on Saturday, May 29, 2021 at the age of 78. He was a lifelong resident of Slidell and the beloved husband of Carolyn Tillison Terrell for 57 years. Loving father of Terrence (Brigette), Chadwick (Kathy), and Jonathan (Taryn) and his bonus daughter Dr. Monica Terrell Leach (Jimmy). Proud grandfather of Dr. Terrie Thompkins (Brian), Terrence Jr (Courtney), Brandon, Katelyn Coleman (Darius), Jailen Leach, and Maegan, Makena, Tyrease, Kalyn, Tierney, and Jacob Terrell; and great-grandchildren Kaydi, Christian, Titus, and Violet. Also survived by sisters - Marian Nelson (Emery), Harriet Gray, Velva Naylor (Billy), Sadie McCaskill, and Melinda Bennett (Lonnie); and brothers Donald Collins (Paula) & Tyrone Collins (Debby). Preceded in death by his parents, Bernard and Doris Mae Porter Terrell and siblings George, Charles, and Joycelyn. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service honoring his life on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at 11:00 am, Hartzell Mt Zion United Methodist Church, 41040 Hwy 190, Slidell, LA. Visitation from 8am until 10:45am. Interment at Porter Cemetery. Services entrusted to the caring staff of Doyle Funeral Home.
