Natalie Rose Cameron
Cameron, Natalie Rose 9/9/1989 - 6/4/2021 Ann Arbor, Michigan Natalie Rose Cameron, age 31, was taken from this earth too early after a courageous battle with cancer. She died at 3:08 am Friday, June 4 2021, the 66th wedding anniversary of her grandparents, Salvatore and Ida Rose Sapienza. Natalie was born in Livonia, Michigan on September 9, 1989 and raised in the Novi/Northville area with her siblings. In 2004, Natalie relocated to the Ann Arbor area and knew this was where she wanted to remain. She received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education/Elementary Education with a Mathematics Major from Eastern Michigan University. Prior to her breast cancer diagnosis, Natalie began taking classes to obtain a master's degree at EMU. Natalie began her teaching career in the Detroit area before relocating to the Saline school district. She later found her home in the Ann Arbor school district, where she always wanted to be. Natalie was a passionate and gifted teacher- always going above and beyond to help her students whom she loved so much. She was loved and admired by her students and fellow colleagues. On June 27, 2015, Natalie married her best friend, Knox Cameron, on a beautiful beach in Jamaica. Almost a year later, on June 3, 2016, Natalie gave birth to her son, Drew Cameron, who changed her life forever. Natalie was committed to advocating for tolerance and changing biases to make the world a better place for her son- who meant everything to her. She loved being surrounded by family and friends. Those who knew her would agree that she was always kind, compassionate, and loyal to her family, friends, students, and co-workers. She truly warmed the hearts of all she came in contact with and shined bright. Always looking for joy, Natalie waited for her garden roses to bloom each year and would forward pictures of them to her loved ones. Even though she was baptized and confirmed Catholic, Natalie was a spiritual women and found comfort in many religions. She especially found peace in the rosary and had a special connection with Saint Theresa. You would have never known Natalie was in a fight for her life because she would not let it show under any circumstance. She stood tall and fought with honor. Her last day here on earth was spent with her family and friends celebrating her son's 5th birthday. She and Knox gave Drew a memorable party, showering him in gifts, love, and a special visit from the Ann Arbor Fire Department. Natalie wanted to make sure she could give Drew the best birthday he ever had. Truly the most loving mother. Natalie is survived by her devoted husband, Knox Cameron; her five-year-old son, Drew Cameron; mother, Sandra Sapienza; her father, Douglas Polidori; her three siblings Vincenzio Polidori, Nicole Badeen, and Joseph Polidori; and her grandparents, Salvatore and Ida Rose Sapienza. Liberty Road, Ann Arbor, on Thursday, June 10, 2021 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Friday, June 11, 2021 from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm. A rosary will be held at 7:00 pm on Friday.
