Our family matriarch was known to everyone as "Bumpie". She was the neighborhood mother in the Paul's Hill Community of Bessemer. This lifelong member of Old St. Paul Baptist Church was the daughter of the late Mason, Sr. and Sallie Williams Askew. She is reunited in Glory with her husband, Mr. Willie James Arrington and daughter, Wilma Jean. Precious memories linger with children, Willie James, Doris, Lawrence, Durwood (Octavia), Lorenza (Arlene) and Cornelius Arrington, Jacqueline (John) Isaac, Olivia (Isaac) Scarbrough, Sharon (Rickey) Foster and generations of grandchildren. Graveside Farewell is Noon Tuesday at Highland. Rev. John Isaac, Officiant. Calling Hours at Johnson Memorial, Bessemer, Monday Noon until 8:00.
