Kelly, Rosemary Ypsilanti, MI Age 93, peacefully passed away Sunday, May 23, 2021. Rosemary was born January 2, 1928 in Ypsilanti MI, the daughter of Harold M. and Ruth O. (Ryan) Riggs. On February 7, 1948, she married Richard G. Kelly and following 48 loving years of marriage, he preceded her in death April 2, 1996. Rosemary was employed for many years as a parts inspector in quality control at Ford Motor Company. Rosemary loved to travel (especially her trips to Ireland and Russia) and enjoyed sports. She was a big Lions and Tigers fan and she played baseball on the local U.A.W. team. Survivors include: one daughter Barbara Russ; two sons, Robert (Judith) Kelly and Richard Kelly; six grandchildren; one great granddaughter; sisters-in-law, Janet Riggs and Phylis Warmington; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by: her parents; one daughter Jacqueline Hull; daughter-in-law Andrea Kelly; son-in-law Kenneth Hull; five brothers, Frank (Shirley) Riggs, John (Arda) Riggs, Richard (Cathy) Riggs, Robert Riggs and Donald (Cecilia, Lucelle) Riggs; and two sisters Grace (Jack) Langstaff and Ruth (George) Richards. Cremation has taken place. The memorial service will be 11 am Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at Stark Funeral Professionals where visitation will begin at 10 am. Dr. Marianne Danks will officiate. Her ashes will then be buried next to her husband in St. John Cemetery, Ypsilanti. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to either Arbor Hospice Residence or Glacier Hills.
