Michael H. De Vivo Jr. "Mike" "Mickey" Age 72, late of Homer Glen passed away on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox, IL. Born and raised in Chicago, lived in Oak Lawn and a resident of Homer Glen since 1997. Former Homer Township Highway Commissioner for many dedicated years. Mike was a "Mr. Fix it" and was always remodeling something. He will be deeply missed for all his talents by all who knew and loved him. Preceded in death by his father, Michael H. Sr. (Antoinette) De Vivo; his mother, Jacqueline (Nee: Shawtell) (Andrew) Halusek; one sister, Irene De Vivo; and a brother, Edward De Vivo. Survived by his loving wife, Marcia (Nee: Becka) De Vivo; four children, Christopher (Colette) De Vivo, Cathy (late Michael) Kumke, Cynthia (Jim Szoldatits) De Vivo and Steven (late Barb) Diaz; four adored grandchildren, Allison Kumke, Benjamin Kumke, Clarisse Rose and Jonathon Rose; siblings, Andrew (Venetia) Halusek, George (Kathy) Halusek, Sandra De Vivo, Ken (Jody) De Vivo, Nancy (Jeff) Williams, Jennifer (Paul) Malinowski, Kimberly (Jim) Smith. Numerous other cherished family members and friends also survive. Cremation Rites have been respectfully addressed. A Memorial Gathering celebrating Michael's life will be held on Friday, June 18, 2021 in the O'Neil Funeral Home chapel 1105 E. 9th St. Lockport, IL., 60441 from 4:00pm until time of Memorial Service at 7:00pm.
