Edward H. Balcer Rochester - May 6, 2021. Passed away peacefully at the age of 96. He is predeceased by his wife, Carol. A loving Father, Grandfather & Great-Grandfather. Edward is survived by his son, David (Gwynne) Balcer; daughter, Barb (Joe) Tagliarino; grandchildren, Julie (Greg), Shawn (Brooks), Evan (Lisa), Heather (Steve), Amanda (Andy), Brian (Brittany); 13 great-grandchildren. Ed enlisted in the Air Force during WWII. He was a tail-gunner on a B-25 and flew in over 40 missions. He was an amazing artist who found beauty with his paintings of the New England coast and the vistas of Naples, NY. Ed was a passionate golfer, enjoyed nature and working in his yard. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all that knew him. Friends may call Monday from 4-7PM at the funeral home (2305 Monroe Ave.). A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday at 12PM at the funeral home. Entombment at White Haven Memorial Park to follow. CDC COVID-19 protocols will be observed. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Lollypop Farm, the Humane Society of Greater Rochester, 99 Victor Rd, Fairport, NY 14450.
