William H. Daub April 11, 1922 - May 2, 2021 Cochecton Center, NY William H. Daub of Cochecton Center, NY, a lifelong resident, passed away at the age of 99 on Sunday, May 2, 2021 at the Roscoe Regional Health Care, LLC, in Roscoe, NY. The son of the late William and Ida (Weyant) Daub, he was born April 11, 1922 in Cochecton Center, NY. William was a self-employed house painter. William was a graduate of Narrowsburg Central High School and was a letter winner for both track and baseball. During World War II, William served in the Army attaining the rank of Corporal and was an American Prisoner of War in Stalag 2, Germany. William was a POW for 165 days, he fought in several battles and received the Purple Heart Medal for injuries he sustained. William is survived by a niece, Donna Hartley; her two sons: Brett Hartley, his wife, Stephanie and Brian Hartley, his wife, Audra, their children, grandchildren, and many cousins. William is predeceased by his parents and sister, Marjorie Elizabeth (Daub) Kimble. A graveside service will be held on 11 a.m., Wednesday, May 12 at Lava Cemetery, Narrowsburg NY.
