Anthony Glen "Tony" Thomas
BURLINGTON - Mr. Anthony "Tony" Glen Thomas, Burlington, North Carolina, died unexpectedly on February 24, 2021 at his home at the age of 54. Tony is survived by his mother, Loretta Thomas (Burlington) and predeceased by his father, Bill Thomas, brothers, Al Thomas (Monica), Chris Thomas (Jaci), and sister, Missy Thomas Cox (Randy). He also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews and his loving dog Lexie. Tony was born in Burlington, graduated from Western Alamance High School in 1985, and was a member of the Western Alamance Red White and Blue Marching Band and Jazz ensemble under the direction of Eddie Harris. He graduated from Alamance Community College in 1988 with an Associate degree in Mechanical Drafting and later worked as a draftsman for several local businesses. Tony was an avid disc golfer and developed many friendships while spending time on the disc golf course at Cedar Rock Park. Tony loved music, playing the guitar, drums, and writing music. A memorial service to celebrate Tony's life will be held on Saturday, April 24, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel at St. Mark's Church at 1230 Saint Mark's Church Road, Burlington, NC. A reception will be held immediately after the service in the parlor at the church. Rich & Thompson Funeral and Cremation Service in Burlington is assisting the family.
