In memory of
Linda Kolar Barcheski passed away on March 27, 2021 at the age of 69. Linda was born on August 16, 1951 in Johnstown, Pennsylvania to loving parents Bertha and Frank Kolar. She later moved to Laurel with her young son, Justin, and married the love of her life, John "Jack" Barcheski in August of 1979. They resided in West Laurel where they raised their three children Justin, Brooke and Brett. Linda attended every school event, soccer game, or milestone and loved all of it. She was also the perfect parent volunteer because of her well-known organizational expertise and dependability. She was passionate about good food and cooking and lovingly nourished her family and friends. She also loved her backyard birds, potted plants and impressive vegetable gardens. Linda was an active member of St. Mary of the Mills since 1979 and was an active member of the Woman's Club of Laurel that served the community. She was always the first person in line to roll up her sleeves for family, friends and strangers alike. She retired from the Prince George's County Public School system after over thirty years of service. Linda and Jack have recently resided at Leisure World in Silver Spring, Maryland. Linda is survived by her loving husband, Jack Barcheski, daughter Brooke Moore (Jeremy), son Brett Barcheski (Aubrey) and sister Barbara Reese. Her greatest joy was her five grandchildren - Anthony Rivera, Amanda Rivera, Ronin Moore, Everett Moore, and Lyra Barcheski. She was preceded in death by her parents and beloved son, Justin F. Barcheski (spouse Michi Shotwell Barcheski). A funeral Mass was held for this loving soul at St. Mary of the Mills on April 9, 2021.
