In memory of
Robert TANSEY
It is with great sadness that the family of Bob Tansey announces his passing at age 78. Despite formidable efforts, Bob passed away on April 4, 2021, with his devoted wife of 54 years and the love of his life, Dinah, holding his hand. Also survived by son Will (Heidi), daughter Ellie, grandchildren Mason and Maeryn, brother Mark (Kathie), sister Liz Hanna, sisters-in-law Susan (Joe) Zabkar and Coby (Brian) Beman, nephews, nieces, cousins and many dear friends. Preceded in death by his father Robert and mother Helen, brother Dennis and brothers-in-law Peter Kuehn and Dennis Hanna. Bob received his law degree from the University of Minnesota and spent his career as a respected trial lawyer. He absolutely loved doing battle in the courtroom, delighted in mentoring the next generation and taught his family the fine skill of debate at home. He was a self-described world class athlete and as he got older he enjoyed golf, skiing, scuba diving and especially fishing with his brother Mark. He also loved vacationing with Dinah, his kids, grandchildren and beloved friends. He traveled much of the world, and wanted it noted that he was the recipient of several frequent flyer awards. Bob was extremely generous and so valued education that, in addition to his kids, he assisted numerous others in acquiring their college degrees. He relished watching his grandkids enjoy life and giving them opportunities to experience beautiful beaches, Alaska and the thrill of his Camaro. There's no doubt he's enjoying a happy hour with those who have gone before him. Bob's irreverent sense of humor and sage advice will be greatly missed. Due to Covid concerns, a private family service will be held. In lieu of flowers memorials preferred to The Angel Foundation. www.Washburn-McReavy.com Edina Chapel 952-920-3996
