Claire Susan Aronson
Aronson, Claire Susan (b. 1929), died on March 22, 2021, at Sunrise of Edina Senior Living. Claire lived an active life with many interests. Until dementia took her pastimes from her, she was a member of the Weavers Guild of Minnesota, a published poet, an avid reader, and an adventurous traveler. She worked as a freelance editor and writer, and served as publisher of the Prospect Park newsletter The Riverbank Rambler. Claire was born in New York City and earned a BA from Syracuse University. After marriage, she and her husband Don moved to Minneapolis where Don joined the Mathematics Department at the University of Minnesota. They settled in Prospect Park. Don and Claire traveled widely throughout their marriage, and spent some time living in Rome, city of their hearts. Claire was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Donald G. Aronson (1929-2019), and is survived by their children Laura (Bob), Paul (Anne), and Rebecca (Tim), six grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. There will be a celebration of Claire's life in the coming months. In lieu of flowers, please make a contribution to the Alzheimer's Association of America.
