In memory of
John Kevin Tabor
TABOR, John Kevin 12/18/1959 - 4/1/2021 We mourn the loss of Kevin Tabor, beloved father, grandfather, brother, and uncle who died suddenly at work on April 1st. He was born in Tyler, Texas. Raised in Highland Park, honorably discharged from the Navy, he is survived by ex-wife Mary Jo Chapa, their daughter Crystal Tabor Martinez, granddaughter Alyssa Gabrielle Martinez, grandson Tristen Rey Martinez, 3 brothers Chris, Eric, and Adam, his sister Karen, niece Valerie, and great-nephew Maddox. Kevin worked maintenance at Lincoln Properties for 25 yrs as a universal technician licensed in electric, plumbing, and HVAC. Although he had a grueling schedule, he always worked extra jobs to support his daughter and grandchildren and volunteered to help all who needed it for little or no compensation while providing care for his mother who passed last year. He loved to read, travel, play computer games, but most of all his family and friends. He was funny, a prankster, and the greatest caregiver- there is not a more loving or kind human on the face of the Earth and his presence is missed to an unfathomable degree. He was a proud NRA member. And he was the best father and grandfather anyone could ever ask for. My dad was my hero and my rock. He will be cremated with a private family ceremony and private gathering thereafter. Any well wishes or donations may be sent to Crystal at 1013 Briar Way Garland, TX 75043.
