Thomas Dwight Bishop passed away peacefully on December 26, 2020. Tom was preceded in death by his Father, Arthur Bishop, and Mother, Sara McKelvy Murphy. He is survived by his wife Kelli, Sisters Joy Payne (Larry), and Susan Ainsworth (Robert); Sons Brian (Ivy), Scott (Becky), Wade (Karlee), and Chris; Grandsons Bryant, Jacob, Joshua, Sam, Will, and Nathan; Granddaughters Nicole and Aubrey; Mother-in-Law Sandra Burk, brother-in-law Jerry Light ( Flo), sisters-in-law Joy Howard (John), and Robin Burk (Lyn); as well as five nieces and three nephews. Tom was a graduate of Woodlawn High School, Class of '66. After graduation from Woodlawn, he worked in the Grocery business until his death, working for Bruno's, Food World, Delchamps, Winn Dixie, and Dollar General, most of his time was as the store manager. He and Kelli enjoyed riding their horses and their loyal dog, Zac. Tom also had a particular affinity for nice pickup trucks. Tom was a good Husband, Brother, Father, Grandfather, and friend. A memorial service for Tom will be held Sunday, April 11, at 1:30 P.M. in the Chapel at First Baptist Church Trussville.
