In memory of
Jackie Martin
Jackie Martin Knoxville - It is with profound sadness and the absolute deepest sense of loss that his family must announce the passing of Jackie Martin, 61, of Knoxville, Tennessee from this earthly world to the Kingdom of Heaven. Jack was first and foremost exceptionally kind and deeply selfless. He was an attentive, very thoughtful and loving husband to Leisa, a helpful and giving stepfather to Jon, and a doting and involved grandfather who adored his "Evie Lou". In his spare time, Jack enjoyed staying busy. He loved blowing bubbles, playing "Trouble", and having adventures with his granddaughter, Evie. He enjoyed gardening- he loved his tomato plants! He enjoyed fly fishing, but in recent years he took to saltwater fishing- an endeavor which reaped delicious rewards! He was also talented in sketching- he could draw anything. He loved cooking and trying new recipes. He was very talented in wood working. He was patient and precise. It was a joy just to watch him build something. Aside from being survived by his loving wife, stepson and daughter-in-law, Jon and Carolynn Clemons, and his adoring granddaughter, Evie. Jack also leaves behind his devoted mother, Judy Martin, who raised him to also share her desire to serve others; his children whom he loved deeply, Shaun, Jonathan, and Chelsea Martin; his brothers, Bill and Chris Martin, who have been such incredible support throughout this difficult time; his aunt Vicki Clabo, who was very much like a sister to him along with her husband, Danny, who never failed to make Jack laugh. Jack also leaves behind sisters-in-law, a brother-in-law, and many nieces and nephews, all of whom blessed his life and his mother-in-law, JoAnn Stair. He was also blessed with dozens of dear friends, all of whom he loved dearly. He was preceded in passing by his father, Ronnie Martin and his father-in-law, Gene Stair. The family will be receiving friends from 5:30-7:30pm on Friday 4/9/21 at Rose Mortuary on Broadway with a service to be held directly after. All who loved Jack are invited to speak at this time. Family and friends will meet at 11:45 am for Graveside service at 12pm Greenwood Cemetery in Fountain City on Saturday 4/10/21. Online condolences may be extended at www.rosefuneraltn.com .
